Happy New Year 2017... a new beginning to an old journey

Friday, January 6, 2017 at 3:23 PM filed under Diet & Nutrition postings
I apologize once again to those who might have been looking for my blog every 8th of the month since my mom suddenly died back on Monday, May 2nd-2016. I am really really really struggling to the nth degree. I have a brother, sister-in-law and nephew but they live outside of Quebec, Canada. I have friends thank God, they have been my pillars of support. My biggest struggle is not with loneliness, but with food. I am not eating because I am lonely or sad about my mom's death, but because I a...

I'm back... faster, stronger and overall just better

Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at 12:16 AM filed under General postings

First I apologize to those who looked for my blog around the 8th of July, August and even September 2016 and found it missing in action.

Secondly, I took the time to deal with the sudden death of my beloved Mom and I moved August 16-2016.

I admit it I had a very rough time since March 2016 to the recent present.  I reverted to eating chips bags upon bags as a meal and nothing else.  The only silver lining in that horrid admission was that gone are the days o

Tips...Elaine's Guarantee to Massive Weight Loss like I lost 200 pounds

Step 1:  Education

a) know your personal illnesses affecting your body... hypertension, diabetes, psychological problems and on goes the list.  Understand each affliction to a depth beyond the scope of your own physician(s).  That means do your research and seek out anything and everything until you are personally satisfied that your health is no longer deteriorating and you have reached stability.  Once you have reached stability in terms of your health prob

On the road again towards my journey to a healthy me

Monday, June 13, 2016 at 9:22 AM filed under Diet & Nutrition postings

I know it is the 13 th of the month of June 2016 and my blog is once again late.  I must get back on track as to keeping better on time with the delivery of my official weight loss blog for the 8 th of every month.

Well, no excuse this time... just late with reporting in.

I did go see my nutritionist this 9 th of June 2016 and the official weigh in is at 249 lbs. That is officially 2 pounds down from the last weigh in with the nutrionist back in March 2016.

Life is cruel and liberating

Today is the 28 th of May 2016 and while I usually report in with an official weigh in on the 8th of every month, unfortunately my Mom died May 2 nd 2016 at the age of 83.

At the age of 74 in 2006, my Mom had open heart surgery on her aeorta and when the surgeon came out of the operating room he said, ''I have done something I have never done before and I have no idea if it is going to work.''  In the early morning hours as I hung around Intensive Care

The scale is moving again

Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at 11:10 AM filed under Diet & Nutrition postings

I know I promised to publish on the 8th of every month, but life sometimes just gets in the way.  Please forgive my tardiness.

I made it to the gym yesterday, weighed in, joined the other Elaine, my gym partner, already on a treadmill, and I broke into tears.

I am an emotional mess.  The woman I love dearly doesn't want to talk with me or have me in her life.  My mom and family are extreme homophobes and plan to disinherite me from a fortune they di

Still stuck at 250 lbs

Sunday, March 13, 2016 at 1:57 AM filed under Diet & Nutrition postings

Here we go again.  Another plateau, this time at the 250 lbs mark.  I am not helping to budge the balance downward by not exercising regularly this past month and eating way too many times the stupid french fries that just about comes with every meal at a restaurant in the area around my home.

My last major problems are twofold: 1. not prioritizing exercise as a regular activity 3 times per week and 2. ditching the fast food and ordering in monkey off my back especiall

Holding Pattern at 250 lbs

Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at 2:37 PM filed under Diet & Nutrition postings

Here we are February 9th,2016 and I officially weighed in at 249.9 lbs at the nutritionist.

I am a little disappointed that I probably won't reach my goal of 229 lbs for March 19-2016 as that would have marked a weight loss of 50 pounds since starting with a nutritionist at the same time a year ago.

I am now revising my goal to 240 pounds for March 17-2016 which is the next offficial weigh in with my nutritionist.

It is getting harder to lose the

Finally, the 250 lbs mark

Sunday, January 10, 2016 at 11:17 PM filed under Diet & Nutrition postings

I went to the gym today for the first time since being hospitalized from November 7-2015 to November 27-2015.

I finally reached 250 lbs and this marks for me a 200 lbs weight loss over a little more than a 10 year period.

I actually had a good return workout.  I did my minimum of 20 minutes on the treadmill with another 25 minutes on the bike.  I was proud of that workout because I really had a good sweat going.

My next appointment with the nutrit

Keeping to the fight for better health

Thursday, December 10, 2015 at 10:20 PM filed under Diet & Nutrition postings

I officially went to my nutritionist on Thursday, December 3-2015 and the official weigh in was at 256 lbs.

Unfortunately, since being released from my 3 week psychiatric forced hospital stay from Saturday, November 07-2015 to Friday, November 27-2015 to this present day of Thursday, December 10-2015 my diet is consisting of nothing but fast food meals for lunch and dinner. I even went so far as to take out an insurance policy against diagnosis of Cancer and Heart Problems on Mo
