Cutcarb, I agree with your assessment of WW. The "diet" industry as a whole seems to be a trap to keep "customers" coming back without offering any permanent sustainable solutions.

Yup-WW keeps 'em comin' back. Creating "dependancy" and "guilt".
I see through it now, although it took me a while. Even with my missteps and screw ups, I at least understand that the "points" system is only making desperate people look to something outside themselves for help. We all have the power to change and know exactly what we put in our bodies.

THere is no need for points system (although I like points on Fitclick!!! lol) when it comes to counting nutrition and balance in our eating. Why say a food has "3 points" why not just know what the nutrion labels mean, and how much of each grouping we actually need. It reminds me of learning algebra. Will I ever need to know those calculations again in my life? And why have a LETTER represent a NUMBER. Just use the flippin' number! And instead of giving $40 bucks a month to a corporate whore, just put it back in your pocket and buy some organic, non gmo food. GOd knows it's expensive enough!LOL!!!

Sorry for the rant....
Don't like ww's it is a crutch. Nothing like changing your lifestyle and not making excuses to get one to the heart of the matter. I never cared for "12 step" approach to issues. It doesn't get to the heart of the problem, nor does it help to solve it. It is just a substitute bandaid.

Getting to know you.
I am so glad you posted on some of your past conversations. Your views and research on your weight issues are very similar to my own. I literally had a huge smile on my face and laughed so hard at your Weight watchers post my family thought I saw something funny on Youtube. I agree totally and your post was right on POINT(S).
