Adult Beverages in my diet (:-(((((
Seems as though each night I need to have an adult beverage of some sort after a day of caregiving my husband with this brain injury he sustained when jogging---usually it consists of chardonney wine in the summer and red wine in the winter! I know these are waisted calories but I'd like other suggestions that may contain less calories. Do you know of anything I could substitute?

Calories That Count
I like Horizon Organic 1% chocolate milk (you know how chocolate makes you feel) or So Delicious Coconut Milk Beverage, blend with pineapple and a litte almond extract (makes you think of a Pina Colada).

alcohol
not usually a great thing on a diet but I did a google search and thought this was interesting: http://fatlossschool.com/low-calorie-alcohol-drinks/
The reality is that trying to cut calories usually means less alcohol, which is kind of what you're looking for :)
So people end up drinking more and they gain weight that way. How many beer-bellied guys have you seen who only drink light beer? The key is shaving off 200-300 calories earlier in the day so you can have your drink. Shave off a little from your meal or drink water instead of having a snack
