Breakfast Smoothy
Does anyone have a good recipe for a pre-run breakfast smoothy? I need to get some nutrition in me before my long runs an Saturday mornings and solid food takes too long to digest.

DR OZ'S ULTIMATE SMOOTHIE

Just in case anyone is interested in getting in their daily fiber i came across this drink on one of his shows i have to say it is not the best tasting but it certainly is not the worst. One drink gives you about 45% of your daily fiber.


1. 1 cup of apple juice (or whatever you like but try and use no added sugar)
2. Half of banana (or 3/4 cups of berries)
3. Whey powder 2tbs (i like vanilla)
4. Flaxseed ground 2tbs
5. psyllium husk (fiber) 1 tbs
6. chia seeds 1tbs
7. Wheat germ (keep refrigerated after opening) 1 tbs
8. 600mg fish oil (break open capsule and put in drink)
9. 3 ice cubes(optional)

* i get about26 grams protein
* 18 fiber
* about 406 calories
* 10-11 grams of fat

Banana and Flax
1/2 cup So Delicious Coconut Milk Beverage
1/4 cup plain greek yogurt
1 tbs ground flax
1 tsp almond butter
1/2 banana
A little honey

My favorites...
banana-pineapple greek smoothie

60 g frozen pineapple
60 g frozen banana
200 g greek plain non-fat yogurt
10 g ground flax seed
1 pkt truvia

Blender until frothy

14 g whole almonds stirred in


Greek Protein Smootie

200 g greek plain non-fat yogurt
100 g frozen mixed berries
10 g ground flax seed
1 scoop protein powder (I like Jillian Michael's vanilla or chocolate)

Blend or stir above ingredients

I like to stir in...

14 g walnuts
and
28 g Kashi Go-Lean Cereal

Smoothie time
1 cup frozen antioxidant fruit blend
1 cup V8 V-fusion mixed berry 100% juice and veggies no sugar added
1 scoop muscle milk vanilla protein mix ( it's the best tasting protein mix all flavours)
1 tble spoon of ground flax seed
5g of creatine and glutamine optional of course
Drink slow very filling and be careful for brain freeze
