Could I be walking too much each day?
Started tracking food intake and workouts for the past 12 days. I walk anywhere from 3-5 miles a day (some in the morning, some during lunch and some in the evening). Twice I walked nine miles in a day.
I just noticed this evening that I'm so tired, like my muscles are tired. I went to the mall earlier and it was almost too much to try to carry some items. The walking I do includes using a resistance band, so I wonder if I am overdoing the band and or how much walking I'm doing?
Does anyone have any insight or experience with overdoing it too quickly?
Thanks!
Alicia

Walking
If you walk alot and don't replace muscle gycongin which is depleted from muscle fatique . Muscle fatique can cause craps as well. The muscle tissues are torn and has to have time to rebuild. Like weight lifting. Gatorade recover can help.

Thanks
I'll try the Gatorade. Thanks for your response. I'm surprised I haven't had cramps but don't want to wait for it. I will replace muscle gycongin (don't know what it is but will research).
This will show my lack of knowledge with muscle/weightlifting but the fact that my muscle tissues are torn, is that bad or a natural result when you work your muscles?
Also, my muscles need time to rebuild. How much time? Is it enough to alternate an intense workout one day and an easy workout the next day?
Thanks again for your insight -

Start slower
9 miles is a lot of walking for someone just starting out. Perhaps cut back to no more than 5 miles, 4 times per week for the first few weeks and skip the resistance band for now.

Thank you much!
Never intended to rack up so many miles in a day. I think you are right to hold back. Typically I walk 3-5 miles a day so I'll stay there for a while.
Appreciate the response -

Muscles
If you take a lukewarm bath before you go to bed it makes you muscles relax and you sleep like a log!
