Does running 3 miles every day of the week really work?
Hi, I would like to know it you jogged for 1 min and then power walked for 2 min for 3 miles, will you lose weight? And if you can lose weight from that how fast will you be able to 'lose the pounds' on average?
Thanks!!!

It Depends
If you are currently eating a healthy diet that is keeping your weight constant and you start jogging/walking 3 miles per day without increasing your calorie intake, then you should lose weight. But if you are gaining weight on your current daily calorie intake then you may or may not lose weight adding the 3 miles of exercise, but you would hopefully gain less.
Use the tools here to calculate how many calories you should strive for daily to meet your fitness goals and to determine how many calories you will consume with your 3 mile walk/jog. Good luck.

Here
My aunt told me that she watched a segment on t.v. where they had you do rigorous training for 20 seconds as fast as you can then you stop for 10 seconds, if you do that for 4 minutes 3 times a week its just as good as running those 3 miles. If you wanted it to be more challenging you can even do it for longer than 4 minutes..Good luck!! :)

Thank You
How do you figure out how many calories you should eat daily, I am fairly new to this website so, I am not sure how to locate that?
Thanks again!
