Eating for Blood Type
Anyone have any background or experience with the "Blood Type Diet?" Someone loaned me the book "Eat Right for Your Type." The info is interesting but I don't know if it is quackery or legit.

Sounds Cool, but not backed up by Science
Hi!
I have found the Blood Type diet concept intriguing also, but have not tried it. I just read the WebMD write-up at http://www.webmd.com/diet/eat-right-for-your-type which seems like a good summary. The advice in the varying diets seems generally sound, but there is no body of research that backs up the diets being better or worse for individual blood types.
The idea of populations genetically having varying characteristics seems logical, but then a lot of us are polyglot mixtures of many ethnicities and geographical locations.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blood_type_diet is another resource.
I guess I would encourage you to give it a try and see how it works for you, even though it's not really good science. Just think of it as another thing to try and observe how it affects you.

Never heard of it
I'm always skeptical of these sorts of things.

I have never heard of it either. I guess I am going to learn something new today. I am also skeptical of weird diets. As Julie recommended, try it and see how it affects you. Be your own lab rat. :)
