I'm smaller on top. I don't have a problem with my middle at all. I have plenty of butt. I carry more weight in my thighs. I do squats and lunges for my thighs and buttocks.

Yeah, absolutely spot on. Swimming is the best way to lose weight. If you can afford, I would say get installed a nice pool deck where you can relax when tired and then take a leap again into the pool and start swimming.
