Hmm That Depends..
Diets are strange you have to go to the end goal before we can determine the beginning. What do you want to do. If you don't know we can talk about that next

Easy to follow food guidlines
Remember if you are trying to lose weight that a pound is equal to 3500 calories so you need to reduce your food intake by that many calories or a combo of reduced intake and increased burning of calories from additonal exercise.

Rule of thumb for food.

Protein (meat, fish, etc) size of your palm is one serving

Carb (potatoes, rice, etc) size of your closed fist is one serving

Fruit serving the amount you could hold in your hand

Nuts the amount you could hold in the palm of your hand, (approx 1/4 of a cup.

Cheeze the size of your thumb

Protein at every meal, and snack...try for three meals each day plus 2 snacks......snack could be apple and cheeze, cottage cheeze and fruit....hummus and a good couple of good quality crackers such as Rye Crisps or something similar

Hope this helps

Young
Whats a young person to do to stay fit and not over do it, with out the gaining of weight?

Since my son is young and I want him to learn to stay eating as healthy as possible, to stay on track and follow the same routine.

He wants to build muscle tone, he's a Varsity Baskteball player and has the drive to play and to work-out.

What is the proper and way to eat to maintain a good balance diet that leads to good muscle tone.
