How do you eat healthy when you don't have the money?
It's like the more healthy it is, the more money it cost. Some of us have no choice but to eat cheaper. But, it usually is more calories, salt, or something. How do you eat healthy when you don't have the money?

I used to think so too!
I used to think that eating healthier was more expensive, but if you really add it up, it's not true. When I go to the grocery store I try to buy fruits and veggies that are in season, which usually makes them cheaper, also buying local really helps too. I'm from a town a little north of Toronto and in my time off I'll check out markets and farms and can get bucket loads of fresh veggies, locally grown all for the price of two mcdonalds combos! Try shopping around and checking out your local farms and markets!

I had the same issue.
Since I noticed this message was from a few months ago, I was wondering if you have found ways to overcome the expensiveness of eating healthy. I am interested in learning what has and hasn't worked for you. Let me know if you have found any good ideas. Thanks!

I thought the same thing!
I live on a tight budget and I totally understand. Here are some things I've found. Frozen veggies at Kroger are usually 10 for $10, fresh fruit and veggies are usually cheap too. Whole wheat bagels are filling with some peanut butter. Stock up on sales and freeze if you can. Rice cakes, lite store brand yogurt, cereal, frozen perogies, low-fat popcorn, low sodium canned items. I hope this helps! Good luck!

Cheap Food
Large Bag of frozen chicken breasts from Costco is less than $25
Several bags of frozen peppers and onions from Walmart is less than $25
2 weeks of healthy stir-frys for < $50.
It's more then Ramen 3x a day, but it's cheaper then eating out and not really "expensive".
