How long should you do an exercise routine before switching?
Just wondering. I like to switch up my exercises every week or so, but someone told me to only do it every two or even three weeks? I've read about and heard different ideas about it. Anybody know?

Vary During The Week
I like to add in varied workouts to my regular one. Makes it more interesting and you won't get bored.

When it gets easier
I have researched this question. Some suggest 4 weeks and some up to 12 weeks. What I have learned over a year and 4 months of trial and error: make changes when the work out gets easy; add an extra set, go a tenth of a mile longer, etc. Most important take a break every so often. I usually take a weeks break from resistant training, and do half my cardio after 8-12 weeks, then start back up then next week. It seems to be working for me. Just remember everyone is different. You will need to find what works best for you.

How long
I'm old school were I used training journals to track. Now I use fitclick much better. In the journals they had a evaluation page. This is what I found best for me. If you want to make changes in the exercises you do, wait until about six week point. Ideally when I reach an evaluation page which now I just set a date. Review your training and decide at that time if you want to change any of your exercises.
