I don't have time, nor the desire to cook
I need a good, quick and easy plan to follow since I'm very busy. I don't like cooking but will "prepare" food. :) Most of the time I'm grabbing yogurt, a banana or a toasted english muffin on the way out the door along with a Lean Cuisine for lunch. Any suggestions for a successful meal plan to lose weight for someone who doesn't like to cook, a picky and plain eater, and is always on the go?

suggestions
I like to eat walnuts or almonds and berries, beef jerky, original all bran bars and protein bars (just be sure to check how much sugar is in these, some contain a ton).

Quick food ideas...
Have you tried buying those big bags of frozen chicken breasts? They come boneless, skinless and they're pretty yummy if I do say so myself. Depending on what you make it should take no more than 10-15 minutes for a very good lunch or dinner. Just take different kinds of sauce or seasoning and put it on then cook it in a pan. You can defrost it in the microwave to speed it up too.

Recipe Ideas:
Barbecue chicken- Put a chicken breast in the pan (Or more depending on how many you're feeding). Pour Barbecue sauce over it, wait a few minutes. Done.

Curry chicken- You can change the amount of curry powder depending on your tastes. Curry powder is usually less spicy than the curry paste and it's really cheap. Put the chicken in to cook for a while. Put some coconut milk in the pan with the chicken. Add curry powder (Or paste) to taste. (( I haven't yet tried it but I'm told you can use regular cow milk for curry chicken))

Soy chicken- about the same as the barbecue chicken but with soy sauce. Put the chicken breast in the pan. Pour soy sauce over it. Let it finish cooking and it's done.

Also for those recipes there are no measurements. (Another reason it's so easy). Just put in the amount of chicken you want to eat and then sauce at least enough to cover it and suit your tastes.

Also, crock pot dishes take a long time to prepare but don't require much effort. Take beef tips, frozen or canned: carrots, potatoes, tomatoes, green beans or whatever veggies you like and throw them in in the morning then by the time you get home it should be about done and make the house smell great :) (9It helps if you have one of those crock pots with Low, medium, and high heat settings.

protein shakes
Add some protein shakes to your regular diet - you can do 2 a day either as snacks or meal replacement. My trainer turned me on to Syntha Six - it's the perfect balance of carb to protein to fat ratio...the chocolate milkshake one tastes divine too. Just add water and stir or shake you are good to go.

healthy choice
I'm wondering what's wrong with what you are doing now. It seems that the things you are grabbing on the go are healthy and low cal.
I have never been one to want to cook either but I did because we had to eat. After my husband and I decided to lose weight and get healthy is when I was able to stop cooking.
We eat a healthy choice entree every night. It's great for portion control because when its gone you're done. No over eating. And while they appear to be high in sodium, if you look at and consider the percent daily value, it's not at all. I looked at one that had over 700 grams of sodium and nearly freaked out until my son pointed out that it was only 14% of what I needed for the day.
I also drink weight control shakes packed with protien, (Protien is your friend) boiled eggs, cottage cheese, frozen whole berries.
On the weekends I boil some eggs and stick them in the fridge. I put hot water and flavored tea bags in mason jars and and when they cool I seal them and stick them in the fridge. I use tupperware containers to divvy up my frozen berries, my cottage cheese, and tomatoe soup for a few days at a time and stick them in the fridge.
Every morning I grab a bag and toss in a yogurt, a dish of berries, a dish of cottage cheese, a shake, an egg or some soup and my jar of tea. My hubby just throws in some flavored waters and a couple of lean pockets and a special K bar. We are both under 1200 calories a day. The healthy choice even has dried dishes that you just add water to at work and microwave and they are all under 400 calories.

eating in a pinch
the foreman grill is a great option to save time on cooking. personally, i stock up on weight watchers smart ones for meals just incase there's ever a rainy day where i'm too lazy or tired to put time into making a proper meal. not the greatest alternative, but the meals are surprisingly tasty.
