Knitting
Does anyone out there knit? I started knitting a month ago and yesterday I knitted all day. My hands are all swollen and sore today. Is this normal? How can you stop it from happening?

knitting pain
hi there
i am a knitter for years now. this winter i spent a few days knitting without taking breaks...and ended up with tendonitis in my right hand, especially the thumb area. i had to go easy on what i did with my right hand after that for about a month. not fun! so knit, but not for hours without rest. set some knitting limits, and for now just rest your hands and they will feel better.

thanks
I will try that. Plus I realized I was holding my needles up to high. They are slowly getting better but not quite there yet.

I wonder if you need to include some cardiovascular exercise?
It sounds like your circulation may not be up to par. If you include some regular cardiovascular exercise, it would not only increase your circulation, but it would improve your immune system, which can sometimes be partially responsible for overblown inflammation.

Wrist Warmers
Most craft stores sell wrist warmers. They are lightly elasticized so that prevent swelling of the wrists and since they keep your wrists warm so your veins don't contract to allow better circulation.
