Let the New Year Rush Begin!
Now that the New Year began, I'm sure you're aware that the gym gets busy... Do you feel more motivated to go to the gym when the New Years resolution people come to workout or do you feel more discouraged?

Discouraged
It makes me more apprehensive, I havent been to the Y in about a year and I have gained all the weight I lost and then some since then. So not only am I sensitive to what they will think when I go back, but I guess I care, too much, how serious people will take me now after seeing me disappear so long. Its so cliche' to start back in Jan. that its actually keeping me from wanting to go, how stupid is that!

Excuses Excuses
There is one thing I learned over the years, I know I'm still young, but the thing I learned is "FEE" (FORGET Everybody Else!). So what if people look at you after being absent for a year? When they go home, they aren't thinking about "finite88", they are thinking about the college loans they have to repay, the car insurance coming up, the clothes their children are begging them to buy, their cheating spouses, and all the other issues that people have to deal with. You, like many of us, are using a bunch of excuses and none of them are holding up. Walk into that Y with your head held high. You aren't the only person who has stopped something you started, just don't make the same mistakes.

Nicely said!
Hey FiyahDiamond, that was very nicely said! "FEE" is definitely one of my weaknesses!

Don't worry
I don't think you should worry about what anyone else would have to think or say because ultimately it is your body and well being that will be changed by your actions no one else has to live in your skin. I feel people can generally understand falling off and getting back on track so be confident and proud to even attempt to try again and people will actually respect your perseverance.

GO!
If they notice you're back I bet they will be glad to see you and if not, then you don't need the negative energy. Surround yourself with people who encourage and support your efforts. You have to do it for YOURSELF.
They won't suffer high blood pressure or a heart attack if YOU don't take care of yourself. GO GOGOGOOGOGOOOOOOOOOOO!
