You are Too Sweet!
Hi Kelly,
I'm from central Illinois in America (pretty much just a glorified cornfield... haha!), but I have several friends from England and absolutely love learning about people from other countries, their traditions, etc... I do have a facebook account, so definitely add me as a friend if you would like. My profile is listed under Katherine Mansfield and Illinois Wesleyan University is listed as one of my networks. If you have any problems finding me, you can email me at
[email protected] and I will make sure to send you a link or take the necessary steps to ensure you find me on there. In terms of weight loss, while I would like to lose weight and have a goal as to how much, my primary goal is to get into the best shape that I possibly can. I've been rather ill for quite sometime and am concerned at how weak I've become. I had intended to train for a marathon, but that got put on hold since I'd be lucky to walk it SLOWLY... haha. :( With that said, I'm an extremely determined person, so I'm willing to do whatever it takes to regain strength and improve my overall health. My sincere apologies if I'm wrong since I'm not positive I remember the exact conversion between one pound and one stone, but I thought 1 stone is equivalent to 14 pounds. Hence, that would mean you want to lose at least 28 pounds with 56 pounds being the ideal. I hope I didn't mess that up, so am I on the right track with what you're thinking? Sorry!
I don't like to presume to know anything from a mere written statement, so I am unsure as to the amount of knowledge you have on different types of exercises, strength training, dieting (as well as the different types), and a good understanding of the physiological aspects involved in metabolism, building muscle, burning fat, etc. If you don't know much, I'll admit that I'm a huge nerd and have not only learned a lot about these topics on my own, but also know a great deal of info. from all of the college courses I took in chemistry, physiology, etc. Plus, I'm double-majoring, so since my other major is psychology, I'm a firm believer that the psychological underpinnings of behavior - such as over-eating, unhealthy eating, lack of motivation to exercise, etc., etc. - should be a component one focuses on besides just diet and exercise.
I apologize for boring you to death with all of this, but I promise I won't be preachy :)! My intentions are merely to do what I can to help you see your full potential and what a great person you are, do what I can to offer suggestions and listen to yours, learn more about you (I love people in general!) and vice versa (if you would like), etc. We're on this journey together, so please know that I am always here to do whatever I can to improve your state of well-being, whether it means just being a listening ear or ... Although my contact info. is on Facebook, I will send you a message when I accept your friend request (if you are still okay with that) with my cell phone number in case you ever want to talk on the phone.
I look forward to hearing from you in the near future, as well!
Have a nice day, and thanks again for your sweet reply!
Blue Skies . . . Butterflies,
