Hey,
I'm a 25 year old female, I've REALLY let myself go the past couple years, I've never been in fantastic shape, but never considered myself overweight until recently. I'm tipping the scales at 200lbs! writing that makes me nauseous! I want to get back to 125lbs!!!! That's a 75lb weight loss, which is a HUGE commitment. What excuses do I have?

I'd love to meet some of you guys, I need someone who will offer support, ideas, and be a little tough with me at times. I want to start feeling good about the way I look again!

Stay Inspired
Most of us have been there. Decide what type of workout you want to do and set your goals. Try setting your weight loss goals to I want to weigh this much at the end of the week. It could only be a 4-5lbs a week. B STRONG.

Same boat
Hello!!!!! It looks as though we are pretty much in the same boat... I weigh 200 lbs!!! :( and would like to get at about 145 lbs... and sometimes it feels like your not gettin anywhere with workouts and diets.. I think the biggest thing i had to realize is that You wont see results immediately.. maybe not even in the numbers.. but you will notice clothes are looser... you feel more energetic... you even start to feel better about yourself just because you took the step to work out in the first place....

keep your head up!! just remember that you will see results the longer you stick with it.. and pick something that works for you!!

one more thing!!
Another thing I use as motivation is pick something that you USED to be able to wear and LOVED to wear.. and cant wear now.. hang it somewhere you will see it.. and keep reminding yourself that you will soon get there

I'm singing the same song...
I've battled with my weight all my life b/c I grew faster when I was younger and in Jr./Sr. I lifted weights for basketball & volleyball. Well now that I'm older (23) exercise doesn't really happen unless someone twists my arm. My weight has been on a roller coaster for the past year. Last May, June, & July I dropped 20 lbs. for no reason. Literally, I didn't work-out and I wasn't watching what I ate, but hey, my wedding was in August and I was losing weight so I felt great! I started at 204 and by the time of my wedding, I was at 184! It was awesome! We went to Riveria Maya for our honeymoon and I felt confident, although I was still really bashful about my size. Well since I've gotten back and the holidays came and went, I didn't really watch my weight because it leveled-off for awhile. In January I noticed my weight went up to 189 but I wrote it off as holiday cookies. Then in February I was at 194 & this last week I was 203!! WHAT HAPPENED!!?? When I saw my weight, I swore to eat healthy and lose the weight. That night, my husband brought home girl scout cookies... Needless to say, I'm afraid to get on the scale now. The diet actually start today & so hear I am and I'm determined to get down to about 155. I'm probably moving to Florida soon and if I'm going to be at the beach all the time, I don't want to feel embarassed... So for right now I feel like a stuffed sausage in my jeans but hopefully that will change soon.

New to the site too and needing inspiration
Hi,

I am a 38 year old single working mom and have just ended an extremely stressful relationship during which I gained back over 20 lbs (in 8 months) of the 45 lbs I lost 3 years ago. After I lost the weight the first time, I was thrilled with my body and even started modeling lingerie. Now I can't stand looking at myself in the mirror and have gone from a size 2 to a size 9...given that I am only 5' tall, that's a leap that comes with more cellulite than I'd like to admit. I don't want to get back the size 16 I was for years after my son was born. I am a carb-aholic and I'm having trouble staying away from late night snacks...these are the vices I fall to when I'm stressed.

Please someone, kick me in the butt and help me get back on the bandwagon!

Thanks!

Carbs are the devil!
I hear ya on the addiction to the carbs... I'm especially addicted to cookies. I think more than anything I have an oral fixation where I need something crunchy. If you are anything like me and get the munchies around 9/10p try eating pop corn or I've heard eating a small bowl of cereal is a good snack too.

I have a problem with cereal.. the serving sizes are never enough and I wind up eating 2 giant bowls. (I can't let any extra milk go to waste and if I have extra cereal, I may need more milk... ) It's an evil cycle, but like I said, I have a bad addiction. I'm trying to eat applesauce at night or pop corn because I get the sweet-salty cravings too
