One arm is stronger than the other!! HELP!!!
My left arm is weaker than the right. . It is affecting my workouts and need to know how to get it caught up to the stronger right arm!! On the bench(barbell) my right wants to keep goin and the left just wants to buckle(also same imbalance with dumbells as well). . Should I drop weight with dumbells(making it tough on my left but easier on the right) and let my left catch up? Is this the best way to do this? Any rough guesses as to how long it takes for an arm to catch up. This imbalance happens once slight fatigue starts to set in.
Thanks for the advice!!
(p.s. If I had to guess, it feels like maybe a 5-10lb difference. Like i said it begins once a slight fatigue sets in and im doing low reps/High weight)

how to get your left arm strong
What i would do mate is take a step back and work up your left arm. Always start with you left when you do alternative dumbell curls and presses and when your left can't do any more then stop with both so that your left can catch up. Keep a note of how your arms progress and allways try and beet it the next time and whenever you do all your other excersizes make sure that you drop the weight so that your left can carry on. Also try doing different rep ranges. 4 to 6 reps heavy will build strength and 8 to 10 willl build more muscle. Hope this helps.

Agree with previous poster
Always perform reps on your weaker side first, and don't do more reps on your stronger side just b/c you can. I started doing this in Aug w/ my left side significantly weaker and I realized this week it is now actually a bit stronger than my right - so maybe time for me to alerternate starting sides. It works!
