Please HELP me!!!
I hope someone can help me. I just got back into exercising after having twins. I gained a lot of weight and have finally had enough. I've been going to the gym for about 3 weeks now and I am seeing some good results. The problem is that today while I was working out one of the trainers came up to me and said I am spending to much time on cardio. I do 1 hr of cardio 3 to 4 times a week and weights the about the same. He said that I could be shutting down my metabolisim. Is this true??

hello
no, it wont shut down your metablism. Chances are you could be spending too much time unless you are changing up what you are doing. The same exercise for an hour is ok but it would be better if you changed it up to suprise your muscles more. Strenght training along with cardio is very important if you want tone otherwise you could end up as a skinny stick figure

thanks
Thank you. Thats what I thought but guess I just needed to hear it from someone else also. I usually do about an hour of precore which has programs that change resistance and incline during the entire workout so I think I'll be ok in the respect. Thanks again for your help and if you have any other tips or suggestions please let me know!
