Targets
When I put everything in I wanted to keep track of it said my target for carbs is 196-212g! Is that right if you want to lose 40lbs!? Maybe I did something wrong because that seems high.

Doesn't surprise me
Depending on your current weight and the percentage of your total calories that you said you wanted to come from carbohydrates, FitClick calculates the grams of carbohydrates you need to consume to maintain your current weight at your selected activity level. That number does not surprise me - mine is even higher than that. If you are 40 lbs overweight your body requires more total calories to maintain itself. As you lose weight that number will decrease because your body needs less and less total calories to maintain itself. That's an important thing to keep in mind as you lose weight - you need to eat progressively less and less as your weight decreases!

Good Luck!

Josh

carbs
hey there.....the great thing about your target is this.....your total may saw one thing...but ur true carbs are net carbs, if you kno how to count them great...if not I will explain this. quick and simple.....so take total carbs...let's say 14g..k now subtract from this total all forms of fiber and sugar alcohol. So let's say 4g of fiber and 6g of sugar alcohol. so 14-10=4...so true carbs would be 4g. So when you buy foods use that tip in buying high in fiber items...oh and easy tip for the diet tracker....just take the entire total at end of day and subtract then....Happy counting...thanks Becca!!!
