Wanna be my Vegan/Vegetarian Diet Buddy?
Hey I'm looking for someone who is vegan or vegetarian to be my diet buddy! We can suport each other, weigh in together, trade recipies, etc. :)

Hi Mena404. I'm happy to be in touch, if you want. (fyi: I also use SparkPeople.com.) Have you used http://www.vegweb.comA? I'm vegetarian more than vegan. You have to try to get enough nutrients in your diet every day. The toughest for me to get enough of daily are protein and (complex) carbohydrates. While I'm dropping some lbs, these are my daily dietary goals: calories: 1,200 - 1550; carbs (mostly complex): 163 - 236 (grams) fat: 32 - 56 & protein: 60 - 127. You need to figure out yours so you know what you're doing.

I use vegweb all the time, it's great. I love finding new recipies.

I've been vegan for two years. I take a multivitamin everyday, I also have no problem getting enough protien (I aim for 50 but average about 65ish) and I only eat complex carbs now, cause even though I was eating plenty of them before, what got me here was cartons of TJ Chocolate Cherry Soy Creamy and Uncle Eddies Chocolate Chip Oatmeal cookies. If you know what I mean!

I've dropped a few pounds on my crazy plan, it's a combination of South Beach and Skinny Bitch, two things that have worked for me before, along with trying to eat less than 1,300 calories a day.
