Mothers
I recently had a babygirl and had to get a C-section. For all you mothers out there that had C-sections, how long was it before you started working out? Was it very hard to lose the weight?

C-Section
I had three C-sections. First, I started to work out when I had TIME and didn't need to sleep instead of work out!! I didn't start until after my 6 week check, and then I asked my doc. I also let my body tell me what I coudl and couldn't do. If sit ups strain too much, STOP!! FYI, even 20 years later, you will still feel a little pull at your inscision.

sleep
I memorized a Bible verse. I would get a short one, learn it pretty good and when I couldn't sleep, I would try to recall it perfectly. I never did recall it well, but after 2 or 3 attempts, I would be asleep. Try Psalms. They have good ones. My favorite is "A fool returns to his folly like a dog returns to its vomit." Yes that is in the Bible. I think it is hilarious!

It took me about 7 weeks after my c section 21 years ago. I was able to do a few crunches and slowly add to that each day. As far as sleeping if your not breast feeding try a lil wine before bedtime. I drink me a glass of red wine on nights my mind wonders and wont shut off. Works wonders for me.

Begin by setting specific and realistic goals. Ideally set a lond term goal and then set a series of short term goals toward the attainment of the long term goal. Some types of goals include, build muscle size, trim and tone physique, increase strength.

Once you have decided on your goals, list exactly how you will attain them, including the number of workouts, type of activity, time of day for your training, and how you will incorporate this into your weekly schedule. Look to see what changes in your lifestyle you will have to make to accommodate the new program.

Make sure your program include the basic components of a successful program. Weight training for increased lean muscle tissue (metabolism). Cardio to burn off body fat. Stetching helps maintain and improve flexibility. Then a monitored and ballanced nutritional intake.

I have done some of that. I was not first able to do all but you need to start and it will come. After about a month I was able to do all maybe slower but I did it. You keep that in mind. Pause the dvd and rest If you have too, Hope this helps!

I had one emergency C-Section 24 years ago. All natural after that. I started out after the first week very slow. Within four weeks a was doing normal workouts. I didn't have a hard time taking off the baby weight.
