Young and motivated girl ready to get started!
I am 25 and have about 100 pounds to lose...seems like so much when I see those words on my screen. But, I refuse to take the other option and that is to stay the way I am now. I'm sick of it! And I refuse to make anymore excuses for myself.

I went running today, I have never had a problem working out or being active...it's the food that slays me everytime. When I was running I was thinking how often my weight denies me things that could potentially make me happy. That little summer dress I loved but wasn't in my size, knowing I have brains and humor but so many people will never see it because they see a fat girl first...

Well no more! I won't be standing in my own way from this day forward. I would love to find a buddy to help keep me motivated and connected to my goals...so if you need a friend message me...ready to start this new life with lots of new friends

*hugs*

yay!!
You sound sooo determined!! :) You make me feel like getting up and just running or something myself! It is really sad when you don't get to know people just because your fat! I'll hear people in the hallway all the time saying things about me like really rude stuff, and I hate it! So I am going to join you in the journey :)

Goood luck! I know we can do it!

hello...
Hello to you and Mindycat. I have about the same amount of weight to lose for like the 4 th time. I am bound and determined to keep my lifestyle but i really need the emotional support. I wanted someone who was really serious to be able to help eachother and share with eahcother the emotional support for successful weightloss. I have really lacked support on this my entire life. My extended family eats very poorly and arent showing concern with thier own health so I can expect from them what they cant even give themselves. would love to share stories with the 2 of you.
Hugs,
Melissa

one more thought....
I have been on all ends of the scale at one time or another and it is a FULL guarentee people do pass "fat" people up or whatever they consider fat. I think its disgusting but it is unfortunately a fact in this life that there are a ton of shallow people out there. Men and women.

Hi Mindycat...
Hi Mindycat,
It was great hearing from someone. It is always a hard job to lose weight but once you get in the sming of it you can really cruise along. I am just a bit annoyed that I have to do it once again.

I have changed my lifestyle, this time - for good!
Do you need help in any areas? I have had trainers over the years of my life and am pretty knowlegeable but still trying to learn the key ingredient, lol.

Consistency is definitely something that is key. Working out 4 to 6 days a week and weight training, plus more than 8 8 oz glasses of water if your health allows all that. I try to drink a gallon.

....
Yeah, I heard that about drinking LOTS of water really helps. I never drink enough. This past week as ive been tracking my food ive noticed i probably only get like 4-5 glasses a day!

Well, ill take your advice and keep with it.

To answer your question, I don't really need help necessarily, I just lack the motivation

Good evening....
I know the feeling. I am exactly the same which was why I was seeking someone who is in the same boat as myself. I am a professional and also when I graduate am going to need to buy dress and pant suits and really want to look great in them if you know what I mean.
I have a few thoughts on water....
they have 0 calorie to go tea packets in different flavors as well as coffee and tea. I have followed no more than 2 cups on any given day and also depending on caffiene whether to go decaaf or not but a few cups of STRAIGHT black coffee is great for the metabolism I hear and it certainly has never hurt me. I am sensitive to caffeine so I am just super conscious of my intake.
Thought Id share some insight on the water as it is sometimes hard to do. =) YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL!! Dont forget that! I hate the way people treat me when my pounds are up :(
HUGS ~

hi mindy
Hello I just saw your post about motivation, some article I read says something good for that is to get some clothes that you really want to wear that is a size or 2 smaller than what you wear now, hang it up where you are sure to see it every day. make sure it is something that you want to wear more than anything. I have a pair of capris that are brand new right here and I cant wait till i can get them on. I hope that helps.

Hey there!
Hey guys!

Sorry I haven't written back until now...I'm a college student so I have to go where the study groups, labs and lectures take me. I have done something thats soooo hard to hide from. I weighed myself eeekkk. BUT the good news is I dropped 5 pounds, so I will just look at the positive now.
It is so hard to retrain your eating habits, at least it is for me...I have always loved being outside and I go to the gym everyday so it's never been a problem for me...but mmm bagels...and alcohol (lol least during my first year in college it was)...
I have heard that about coffee, I have one cup in the morning and then I just drink water or some decaf tea (no sugar) the rest of the day.
And about saying you're beautiful...you are SO right, I hated the way I looked for a long time. I want to lose weight now for my health...but back in my late teens I had a huge complex about it. But as I get older I figured out that the people you truly want in your life will love you for your heart and spirit and they will cheer you on when you want to lose weight...

HUGS to all

Missy
