goal weight
I just noticed that I am 4.7lbs for reaching my goal weight. It would mean a 19lbs weight lost.the weight I gain when I broke my ribs in 2011. I would like to get to 150 but a few years ago when I was 150 people said I was to thin-not good to tell a yo yo dieter/body image hang up person that. It make me want to lose more.

I was wondering howeveryone else is doing? Any hints for those final 5lbs

Those last pounds are the hardest!! :) At my lowest weight I was told that I looked "too thin" :/ Even though I was no where near the low end of my healthy bmi. One explanation might be that Americans are so used to obese being the new normal that healthy weight people now look odd to them. Another reason might be that those at a healthy weight make others uncomfortable in their poor health choices.
Anyway... the last pounds are stubborn. I get them off by eating TOTALLY clean. Avoid all processed foods, hidden msg, processed sugar, refined grains. LOTS of water. Sleep at least 8 hrs per night, 12 hr fast daily (eat last evening bite at least 12 hours before breakfast).

Time
How much time are you giving yourself to get it off? Oh and just some personal advice, you do you, your the one living in your skin, stop losing when your healthy and happy with yourself. I'm sorry but everyone else can go suck an EGG! Yeah a pet peeve of mine, other people wanting me to be what makes them comfortable.

thanks everyone
I am giving myselft until mid March to lose these last few pounds. I know that trying to lose them in 2 weeks is not healthy. JJ has good advice about fasting after dinner because that where my main problem is. For some reason it been a huge road block to not eat after dinner.

I like it
Catsmew I know you are correct but for those of us that have a body image problem its hard. Even through I am little better. My problem is that when I look in the mirrow I see a fat little girl alot of the times and will keep losing or trying to lose weight. From age 6 to 17 unfortunately due to cruel people it was engrained in my mind that I was fat which I was(my step dad called me buffallo) I weighed160 in the 5th grade and as high as 190 in the 11th.
Thank so much for all your support..This is the only place I can truly say what I feel in my heart and mind and I so grateful for all of you

Keep pushing yourself. You'll hit your goal weight. Don't worry about what others think. Set your goal weight at what your comfortable with, as long as it is in your healthy range.
