Preheat the oven to 350°.

For the meatballs —— in a large bowl, combine breadcrumbs, parmesan, basil, parsley, milk, ketchup if using, tomato paste, salt, black pepper, eggs, garlic and onions. Using a wooden spoon, stir mixture to blend.

Add the meat. Using your fingers, gently mix all the ingredients until thoroughly combined.

Using a 1½-ounce cookie scoop, form the meat mixture into 1½-inch balls.

Place the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them about a ½ to 1-inch apart.

Bake until cooked through, about 25 – 30 minutes.
