1
Preheat waffle iron. Sift flour. Whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt in a small bowl.
2
Whisk eggs in a medium bowl until pale, about 1 min. Blend in sour cream, milk, margarine, and vanilla with rubber spatula. Fold in flour mixture just until combined. Let stand while you prepare nectarines.
3
Lightly coat large nonstick skillet with nonstick cooking spray and set over medium heat. Saute nectarines until lightly browned, about 5 min. Stir in brown sugar and cook until sugar dissoves and becomes syrupy, about 2 min. Transfer nectarined to bowl with slotted spoon.
4
Whisk orange juice and cornstarch in small bowl until smooth, then add 1 cup cold water. Whisk this mixture into skillet. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat and cook, whisking, until sauce boils and thickens, about 2 min. Return nectarines to skillet and heat through.
5
Spoon batter (about 1 cup for 9-inch-square waffle iron) onto hot waffle iron. Bake waffles according to manufacturer's directions. When don, remove from iron and keep warm. Repeat with remaining batter to make three 9-inch-square waffles. Separate each waffle into four squares and serve to 4 1/2-inch squares topped with about 6 slices nectarines per person
