Spin Class

Alright.. I went to my first Spin Class last nite!... it took alot of courage but I did what the instructor said and just went at my own pace.  The Class was fun and time went fast.  I just concentrated on keeping my legs n feet spinning as fast as I could while the rest of the class was doing more advanced exercises on the bike.  They give me a goal to reach - I'm sure I will do better next time (weds)

Still at it

ok.. its been 3 weeks since I've found the motivation to work out.  The new meds Im on make me feel as though I am loosing but I know inorder to actually see some results I need to hit the gym and do some arerobics.

I went to the gym this past saturday.  Interesting to say the least.  I felt good doing my routine.

Bike ride (reclining) for 15 mins.. 75-80 RPs
Treadmill 20 mins - intervals set at 3.5/4.5 
Squats 65 lbs  1-min

Worked out last nite(yippie)

1. Bike ride - 15 mins level 4 (fat burning)
2. Bicep curls - 40 lbs - 3 sets of 10
3. Tricep pushes - lean face forward against wall all weight on hands  - lower to elbow and push back only using arms - 25 reps
4. Lower back - 10 reps hands across chest
5. Ab routine - Crunches (25)
  a. Crunch hands between knees (25)
  b. Leg ups with split (25)

Journey to Wellness & Fitness-Thurs

Ok.. this week was hard.  I - for the life of me - could not get motivated to go to the gym.  I was careful about what I ate but could just not find the motivation for the rest. 

I finally made it to the gym last nite.  I spent about a hour and 15 working out - keeping my heart rate at 153 and above.  Now that its done.. I feel great!

Treadmill:
15 mins Max 4.6/Min 3.0 - Profile=Intervals
 
Weights
Squats 60 secs - 65lbs
Ham String curls - 20 lbs - 20 reps
Bicep curls - 40 lbs - 20 reps - arms spread
Jigglies 20lbs - until burn

I am a 48 year old female usually in great health.  I was recently diagnosed with high blood pressure and diabetes... bummer rite?!!  I know. 

Well When I first began this Journey to wellness.. my A1c was at 6.0... I went on a rampage and got it down to 5.5 well today my A1c is back up to 5.9  my pressure is elevated.  In other words I thought I had a comfort zone... but I was actually loosing control.
