The resistance training is going well. But to alleviate the boredom from just doing regular cardio machines (a previous experience), I looked into other ways to get a good workout. I started with a Zumba 101 course and have worked my way up to regular full speed full hour sessions several times a week. I have stayed consistent with these and have signed up for at least 7 more. I don't know if my strength progress has been all that great but I've had some nagging injuriesalong the way. But I am learning a lot about techniques and progressions.

On Saturday, we did chest and shoulders exercises to get a baseline.
Every session, we will do Ab work (both machine and planks) and stretching.
This session, I did 12 minute cardio warmup and then 33 min on eliptical with a heartrate of 161 at completion.

Today, I had my initial session with my new personal trainer. At first, I wasn't sure he would be the right type since he seems to always be fit and I, well, have struggled...especially the past 20 years or so.
