The last time I lost 68 pounds I was disciplined!!! I logged down what I ate and stayed within my calorie count, took all the bad foods out of the house (cake, candy, etc.), had lots of fresh fruit and vegtables and ate lean proteins. I also started to exercise (slowly at first), drank water in place of other lunch and dinner beverages, and tried to surround myself with positive thinkers.
Once I started to get sloppy again in terms of the discipline, I started packing on the pounds again....
