To all my regular readers, sorry for the delay - it's been a busy 2 months. First, I got to my goal weight "on schedule" (i.e. on/before my birthday) despite a week of vacation and a weekend trip to a wedding. Then, I started P90X on my birthday, which is going quite well. Then, I got conned into running a half marathon, signing up 16 days before the race, without ever having trained for the race. Then I spent the last two weeks freaking out about the run. As I noted last week, this last 10 lbs feels far harder than the 30 lbs before it.  I had a minor plateau over the last week, getting stuck at just under 195 lbs for about 5 or 6 days.  That's a real frustration for me, as I'm looking for a steady downward trend.  As much as I know, intellectually, that day-by-day weight will vary up and down, the emotional impact is significant.  Even a very minor downward step will get me up, while any upward move will get me down.

Well, I'm in the last 10 lbs to my goal weight now, and it seems like this could be the hardest part.  Last week's camping trip wasn't good, from the perspective of calorie control (although it wasn't horrible, with the daily walks) and from the hydration standpoint.  I find that if I'm not hydrated enough, then I end up retaining/gaining a fair amount of weight, not where I want to go, particularly since I'm tracking weight loss daily.  It's a psychological thing more than anythi...
