Well, I gave into my emotions and now I have regret. Blech!

Needless to say, I gave into me and did what I craved - ate bad foods and didn't exercise. And it was critical that I follow my plan really well this week b/c we are planning a huge blow out this Saturday for the Bama/LSU game (ROLL TIDE!!!). Rob is preparing his famous wings and tater logs. YUM! LOL

So, my short term goal is to diligently stick to my meal plans AND my workout plans and to journal ever...

Arrrgghh!!! I am so mad at myself. Last night was a bad night. Apparently, my mind has decided to grieve for my mother via panic attacks. They hit out of the clear blue. I'll be cadillacking along when suddenly I will see something that reminds me of her or a random memory of her will just pop into my mind. I freeze up, my stomach begins to cramp as if I'm going to be violently ill, sweat pours out of me, and I start shaking. I can't breathe. Then these horrible wracking sobs overtake me. I...

Wow! Had a major slip up today! I didn't bother to check the amount of calories in bone-in ham. OMIGOSH!!! Totally blew my caloric intake! Ouch!

On the upside, I did an extra 10 minutes on the treadmill at 3.0 mph. Yay me!

I'm not going to let the failure of this day mess me up though. I will definitely be back on track tomorrow. Not to mention I'm beginning to get addicted again to the energy that I was now enjoying b/c of my lower blood ...

Well, journaling my food intake is really helping. I knew that it would. But what I didn't expect was the impact of journaling my workouts. Using the workout tracker, I can get a good idea of how much weight I can expect to lose a week as well as WHY I may not be losing.

By getting back on track, I've got my blood sugar back under control for now and I'm under my START weight again. LOL It's good to see negative numbers up there finally. LOL

I'm pretty excited abo...

Survived returning to my mom's place to continue clearing out her things. Realized, yet again, that I never want to go through my teens or twenties again. The drama is WAY too much. Once was enough, thank you.

Moving all during that time really reminded me of how I seriously need to step up my workouts. As in actually doing one. LOL Really though, I was in the between state, not asleep, not awake, and I just knew all of a sudden that if I would just discipline myself to make my w...

I was noticing that it was Sept. 2 since I last posted. Sept. 2, 2011, is a day that will live on with me just as Feb. 20, 1989, will. Feb. 20, 1989, my mom called me screaming. Someone from the Air Force had just called to tell her that my sister was killed in a car wreck at approx. 1:30 am that morning. Sept. 2, 2011, my mom called to tell me that the doctor had just called to tell her that she had pancreatic cancer and it was inoperable. Since then, it seems that all I've heard about

I think that I could do better if I could just get a set routine. Not an easy thing when you have other people to consider. Being a newly wed has been hard on this ol' gal. Mostly because I've been alone for the last 11 years. And I've been an empty nester for about four years. So, I only had me to consider. I didn't have much of a social life and no one to be accountable to. That wasn't working b/c I only gained more weight. Now, I'm married to a wonderful man and have a growing circle of wonde...

Yesterday was a bad day. I served up hamburger steaks, mashed potatoes w/brown gravy, brussels sprouts, and Sara Lee classic dinner rolls for my husband. For dessert, I baked mini blueberry muffins. He loved it! The problem? So did I! Ugh.

Lesson learned. I have planned a high protein snack for the afternoon and will eat my high protein meal before he eats. Then I will sit and enjoy his company while he eats without feeling overly deprived. LOL (I'm cooking spaghetti w/me...

Well, I blew yesterday out of the water. I will give myself credit for upping my exercise to counter some of the excess calories. Thanks for the comment, 115goal. Encouragement is great appreciated.

We went riding last night. It felt really good b/c I can already tell a difference thanks to the exercise. Plus, riding is a great inner thigh and tushy exercise.

Well, I've spent a considerable amount of time on this site and have learned quite a bit. I am successfully logging every bite which is the new habit that I'm currently working to set in place. My wonderful husband, in a show of affection, loves to fix my plate if I'm not there when he is ready to eat. Usually, I fuss b/c he always puts too much and then just eat it anyway. I didn't last night.
