Friday.. My friend Becky is in town so of course we had to go out for lunch. She lives a couple of hundred miles from here and when she is in town she wants to go to local places to eat. The best Italian in town is a dive called Bella Vista. I thought I'm dead! This is going to kill me! Oh Hello! What was I thinking? I spent the day watching every bite that I ate. I was so careful and had planned the day so that I would only eat 1250 calories. Well I blew that notion directly out the window. Here are my excuses: It was raining. I was lonely. I was bored. Now here's the real reason. AMBIEN. Yep, I'm addicted to this sleeping medication. It lets me graze in the kitchen and not remember what I've eaten until the next day when there is evidence. Good grief! So.. ton...

Day 6 and 7

Everything is going fine with watching the food. I've managed to stay under 1200 calories per day. Sunday I cooked a large meal but, I was able to not eat very much of it. Monday was Labor Day and we went to eat at Qdoba. I kind of spluged with two soft tacos and 5 chips. It was good. I felt sooo guilty after eating it. What's with the guilt? At least I'm not grazing all day like I used to. Goal: Climb a flight of stairs Goal: Be able to cross my legs. Good grief.. Such easy thing...

Mother-in-law is here visiting so I am cooking more than I want. I still haven't started to exercise. I'm pretty scared that I won't be able to return from walking to the end of the block and back. I'm really glad that I have lost a couple of pounds, so when I have lost 10 lbs I'll walk. I know, this seems like a strange goal, however, it's at least a goal. Today is my 60th. birthday. My son called me at 8 a.m. to wish me a happy b'day. That's a great way to start the day. My husband called about 10 a.m. just to say hi. He didn't wish me happy birthday, so I became really depressed. I went to the store to stock up on food for the weekend because his mother is coming to visit for a few days. Everything was humming along today just fine until my husband came home from work. I didn't know for sure what to make for supper because he is a big meat and potato man. Ok, so today I decided that enough is enough. It's time to lose all of this weight. Yea, sure, I've said it a million zillion trillion times, however, this time it's going to happen.
