As the third day comes to an end, I can look back at a smooth beginning. Before, I used to fast for three days before starting with a calorie-controlled diet. This time, I just accepted that my weight was going to fluctuate wildly during the first days. And it did!
When I first started to diet, I used an application on my Palm organiser, which showed me the trend (deduced from my daily weigh-ins). When my weight was going down, it showed this, and also how much it was going down. Not just for...

I find in general things are going really well. The diet and recipes are really handy, but things are much complicated by the fact that all ingredients are oriented on the US / Canada. Replacing individual ingredients of a meal is too much of a chore to be practical, I find. I might have to go back to my old strategy of eating until my calories for the day are used up. Sugar. Sweets, especially chocolates need to be brought under control. If anyone has found strategies that work, please let me know. I looooooove chocolate, especially the dark kind.
Hunger. I've been informed that I am an emotional...

Having successfully lost 15kg in 2000 (suppose the new millennium helped a bit ;-) the same thing happened to me that happens to lots of people who manage to get some weight off: it came back on! And so I yo-yo all the way back up to 75kg (I weighed 80kg in 2000). This past year I have started my getting back into shape again regime, after a failed attempt with potions and powders in 2008. I joined a gym and started to count my calories (online, but with another site http://caloriecounter.about....
