Goal Update...

Ok, so, my goal was to hit 200 pounds by June 12th. I was doing great, going to the gym daily and working out at least 2 hours, eating right, taking my synthroid medication. I dropped from 207 to 204 in the first week and a half. Then, my unfortunate fiance, fell through a glass window in the garage and cut his thumb and wrist of his right hand (and yes, he's right handed). He needed a total of 14 stitches and has been out of work since June 9th. Being that he is right handed and couldn't use his hand I had to cater to his needs and help him with everything. I decided not to go to the gym because he couldn't even pull up his own pants let alone get something to drink.

On to better days. Today is June 29th and my fiance is finally able to use his hand again and do most things for himself. He still has a lot of pain and is not working still but he's going through occupational therapy to help him and it's working. So, I feel I can now return to the gym and paying attention to my own needs. I set out doing this weight loss stuff for two reasons... my first goal was to lose enough weight so I can have a tube reversal surgery so that I can have another child, the second was to lose weight so that I am no longer "obese" and at a healthy weight so I can do more things with my current children. The surgery had two requirements: weigh less than 200 pounds and have the money to pay for the surgery, transportation, and food. I have been working on the weight loss and am now at 205. I am feeling better about myself and wearing clothes I haven't worn in a long time. I still need to lose another 5 pounds minimum for my surgery. As for the money part, I was recently approved for SSDI and will be receiving a lump sum and will thus be able to afford the surgery once I receive payment (approx. 3-4wks). So, I can schedule the surgery for two weeks after I have the money to pay for it. Which means, I have about 4-6 weeks to kick my butt at the gym and lose at least the 5 pounds. However, I have decided to set my goal at 190 pounds by July 31st. That's 15 pounds in a month... 4.5 weeks... that's a little over 3 pounds per week. This is traditionally acceptable weight loss so I don't think it is an unreasonable goal.

WISH ME LUCK!!
