Hi, my name is Barbie Ann, and I am excited to be a part of the Fitclick Community. I have been interested in Fitness and Bodybuilding to reshape my body for years. I am currently working on my Personal Trainer Certificate and look forward to my study time every day. Of course in between studies, I workout...and I work out very hard. At one point in my life, I began to put on some serious weight (well serious for me anyway…as I had always been tight, and lean prior to putting on the weight.

I suppose it was when I had my first child, when everything great about my shape went to the wayside. I was so happy with the baby that I totally neglected myself. One day I looked at some of my photos that were taken with the baby and I was so disgusted…immediately I thought what kind of photos am I leaving for my children to put in their photo albums one day…

Well, what was done was done for those photos anyway…however, I was on a mission to undo the damage that eating excessively and not exercising had done to me.  I have three children all together, who are young adults now, and I  struggled in between them when they were young to reclaim my body. And I still struggle today ...however, I know a lot more now than I ever did then to keep my body in shape.

I picked up my first set of  weights when I was scanning the cable stations and I saw an ESPN bodybuilding show. I’ve been hooked on bodybuilding ever since.   I love the look on men because; it makes a man ooze with sensuality. Nice Pecs, six pack abs or just tight abs, symmetry ….well it just shows that he cares about  how he looks and is interested in a healthy lifestyle….

For me…I believe that a woman who has tone and tight defined muscles is a picture of sheer sultriness.  My lower body is coming along pretty good and my upper body is getting there…however, I need much more work on my Tri’s….and my Abs…I would even settle for a 4 pack.  As far as my glutes .(A little history is in order here) .On my father’s side of the family the women are large boned and have large butts. As a young girl I had no butt…I didn’t  think anything about it…in fact…not to brag…I am actually very humble …I’m just trying to tell you my story….

I  got a lot of attention at school and at work….and at work…before the sex laws came out to protect people….I used to get attention that I didn’t ask for….and mind you I was a nurse in uniform…nothing suggestive there…..not for me anyway…I would just ignore it or didn’t pay it much attention…however,  my co-workers would say that I shouldn’t allow them to sexually jester or talk like that around me….like I could control such behavior….I’m sure it’s different for people now…but not then….In either case I work at home now…my point was that I didn’t understand why the women in my family were shaped like that ….what happened to me….hmmmmm….well as I said it made no difference really……however, after doing deep squats….I now have a  large gluteus maximus I don’t want to lose It….in fact the last time I saw my sister…she hit me on my butt and said where did that come from…I said…it runs in the family…..

She is a year older than I …but was always very skinny …my mother used to call her twiggy…which she hated….and although I wasn’t as skinny as her…..I was very lean and tight …in fact she used to say that she was jealous of my arms…because hers were so very thin…I will post my training routine…which is what I created for myself based on the information that  I have discovered over the years…and I will post my recipes and meals….I know that I can improve with the type of meat that I eat….I will eventually switch to organic chicken….I do skin the chicken and scoop out the fat…..stay tuned…..
