So Far So Good!

At first I was a bit discouraged today as I didn't drink any alcohol yesterday and I still weighed 195 first thing this morning. However, after going to the bathroom, I was down to 193.6!! This I can handle. That is almost 2 lbs lost this week and I am pleased with this.

I'm also proud of myself as I stuck to my exercising each day off. In fact today I did both cardio and weights at the gym AND parked as far as possible from the two stores I had to go to and walked. I'm a bit sore but not overwhelmingly so. It is a good sore. I was tempted to do more at the gym, but I didn't want to crash and burn like I usually do when I jump in too avidly and overdo it, then give up.

I tried two new recipes from a Weight Watcher cookbook today. They were both fairly easy and tasted good. The rice was a bit drier than I like, but the almonds made it tasty! I made Almond Rice Pilaf and Baked Cod with White Wine Leek Sauce. I will definitely make both again!

Here's to hoping week 2 continues on the same vein!
