Journey to 10,000 steps

I remembered my step counting watch today and am up to 476 steps (I would have more if I would just remember to make sure it is active everytime I move around...LOL). I have been averaging 5,000-7,000 steps a day for about a month now and since the weather is getting nicer I should make more of an effort to enjoy the great outdoors.
Since I have been working out at Curves I have gotten stronger and use their computer to log my achievements! When I first started going in December I could only hang for a quick second and have to let go. Yesterday I was able to hang for about 10 seconds and I am getting smaller around the middle every day!
I also signed up for a walk in May, Relay for Life, to raise money for our fight against Cancer. I have lost several loved ones to cancer and would like to hope that fewer people will lose their battle each year until we have a cure for all types of cancers.
So, I have on my walking shoes and after my workout this afternoon I am planning on walking 2 miles to get closer to my 10,000 step goal.
