Quite surprised to see that I've still lost 3 lbs. so far despite the rough start this week; getting goals set, figuring out how to use all the tools here, getting things coordinated, groceries bought, menus planned, interruptions, remembering to eat (!) and other of life's vagaries. Guess when you pay attention to what you eat, how much and when, and then actually track it, it can make a difference.
It seems even boosting exercise the little that I have this week has had an impact. I've not been as tired in the afternoons as usual, my mood is better, and I have a little more bounce (and sparkle in my eyes) to my step when going UP the stairs instead of trudging like it's the never ending staircase from hell.
I've got 4 days left of vacation to get a routine set for when to exercise before I go on back to work. Think that since I'm such a morning person, I'll just start planning to exercise right at the start of my day...even if that is sometimes at 5:30 or 6 a.m. on the mornings I must be at work by 8. Ye Gods! Days when I go later or have free, I can set up for a bit later time, 7 a.m. or so would be good.
Needless to say, am looking forward to continuing on and this little bit of success right away is a great motivator to stay with it!
