Getting back on track - January 2013 goal

Oh boy, well that was a typical Christmas season in our family! I gained an excessive amount of weight and have finally gotten myself back on track. I've lost the pounds gained in December, and am close to where I started on December 1st. I set a weight loss goal of 10 lbs for January, and I'm nearly there. I have a little less than 3 lbs to go with 10 days left in the month. Given that I'm about 10 lbs from where I wanted to be at the beginning of the month, it would be great if I could lose a couple of extra pounds in January - but we'll see.

I've been mulling over a very big decision these last couple of months. I'd rather not go into details just yet, but it's something that would bring a big change to my life. I still need to work through it some more before any final decisions are made, but in the meantime, considering this life-altering change seems to have had a positive effect on my eating. It seems so much easier to make healthy food choices now. It really seems to have brought on a fundamental change in the way I see my body.

While the diet seems to be getting better and easier, there is a significant amount of progress that I need to make in order to get the exercise part of things on track. We always seem to be running around for some reason or other and have very little time at home. I need to slow our life down a bit and make sure I have the opportunity to get some physical activity in every day.

So there it is - my progress report. I got off track in December, but I've managed to get back to where I was, and now I'm ready to reach for my new goals and get myself back in the game!
