Time to get realistic

February wasn't that great for me. My weight fluctuated up and down, and I ended up being ill at the end of the month after a stretch when I was doing really well. In the end, my weight was about the same at the end of the month as it was at the beginning of the month. So it's time to take a step back and evaluate my goals and the methods I'm using to reach them.

While we're getting ready to buy a treadmill (yippee!), we don't have it yet and so my daily physical activity is not what it should be. It's not feasible to expect to lose 10 lbs per month with modifications to my diet - I'm not prepared to restrict myself to the point where I would get that result. It was fine for a couple of months, but the time has come to adjust my expectations.

So for March, my plan is to lose 7 lbs. I had weighed in at 224.4 lbs so that means my target weight for March 31st is 217.4 lbs. I am confident that I can achieve this goal and am motivated to make this a great month for me. After all, in a few months we will finally get to camping weather and I'd love to be able to dress comfortably for the outdoors and not be so self-concious about how I look in shorts and a tank top. We also recently got a new camera so here's hoping I will finally get over my unease with being photographed...

Have a great March everyone! Let me know what your goals are for this month.
