check out this article...
http://www.thehealthyhomeeconomist.com/the-perfect-trifecta-for-intestinal-health/

it lists "garlic", "clay", and "kefir" as the perfect trifecta to intestinal health.

I am discovering that gut health is the foundation.  Gut issues are linked with every ailment from IBS to autism.  It seems prudent to keep the digestion working well.

She does a great job at explaining the benefits of each of the three.  I am jumping in and checking out some of her suggestions!!

I am skipping on the garlic for now :)

The article suggests Redmond Clay but I read in the comments about Terramin Clay and researched a bit.  Decided to go with Terramin.  This is my second day and I think I am seeing results already.

I ordered raw kefir with my local dairy order this week and it arrived yesterday.  What an interesting adventure.  My first impression of the taste is "alcoholic milk."  I guess I shouldn't be surprised that fermented milk would remind me of beer. ;)  Until I grow acustomed to the taste, mixing in some cocoa powder, stevia and spices does the trick to make it enjoyable for me.

I have been experiencing some minor health issues recently that do not jive with the "cleanness" of my eating and lifestyle.  I suspect some internal imbalances.  It is my hope and expectation that adding the clay and kefir will help to take me to the next phase of my healing journey.
