Calories Burned:  816 calories per hour   (based on a body weight of 150 lbs.)
Instructions:
(Calculated according to Calories Burned Calculator for Activity at CaloriesPerHour.com)

Stand up straight.
Suck your gut in.
Bend one knee until that toe just touches the ground.
Put your weight on the ball of your other foot.
Position the rope behind you.
When it comes around, only skip high enough to clear the ground and then land on the ball of your other foot.
Swing the rope quickly so that there is no time to double bounce between jumps.
Continue alternating your weight from side to side as described so that you avoid unconsciously favoring one side of your body.
Count jumps quickly, like so: ...10, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 20, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 30,...
Remember to stretch your calves afterwards to avoid shin splints.
