The disatvantages of electric griddles
That being said, do not underestimate the power of your oven broiler. They can very closely mimic the char and crust of a well-grilled steak or chicken thigh. The results aren't quite as awesome, but my broiler has scratched many a crusty burger itch felt during the throes of a hard and endless Buffalo winter.

You need better seasoned cast iron then. There are a couple cast iron pans in my kitchen that we've had for yeeeeeeears. They cook pancakes and eggs without any sticking at all. Modern nonstick surfaces are great and I use them but well treated cast iron can be easily on par. Aill recommend you to try this one https://lilgrill.com/best-electric-griddle/. They work well, they're low maintenance, and they produce great tasting food. What more could a person ask for? While they definitely produce a different flavour quality than gas or (particularly) charcoal alternatives, the best electric barbecue grills can produce juicy, caramelized, seared-to-perfection meals
