I'm just starting out my fitness training and wanted to start with the basics of general weight training. The goal is to stregthen the entire body, working on joints and other problem areas for someone as heavily overweight as I am. The weights are light to help keep the exercises as low impact as possible for now. I even use my body weight for most squat exercises, even getting a bit of help from a nearby wall or pole. 

Theses exercises can be performed in the house fairly easily as long as you have a set of steps you can lightly jog up and down. 

I'm no expert, just combining information I gathered into something I think that I will enjoy doing that won't burn me out in a week.

Tools I recommend: Other than basics; i.e. waterbottle, clothes, comfortable running shoes, I have also purchased a 50 pound powerblock set. I've never owned my own weights before and so far am very impressed with them.
