Long Sunday, fresh day tomorrow

Well, I ate well today. I didn't cook, my son did. He made chicken fettuccine alfredo. I thought I was doing good keeping the sauce down, but the pasta is the killer in this dish. 1 cup of noodles, 189 grams of carbs. I still only ate 1600 cals for the day. No workout today, still sore. The Chalean extreme workout is a beast if you haven't worked out in a while, but I like it. I stick to it. Feels like you are going to a real class. Since I started the program out of sequence, I'm going to resta...

Sore and in-flexible

I am sore and 2. not that flexible to start with. What ever happened to old fashioned direct stretching. That's all I want a good ...

When I started my intention was to use the Chalean Turbofire system, man it was tough. I decided I had to throttle it back and work my way into it. I am not in the shape I thought I was in. So I switched to Chalean extreme. I focuses on resistance work to boost metabolism to maximize calorie burn. It is also a less aerobic workout, which gives my system a chance to catch up. I think it is loosely based on Mike Mentzer H.I.T. training. I have used this in the past and must say it totally works if...

Humble Beginnings

Once again I begin another workout program. I have tried many diets and exercise routines in my life. Some have been very successful, but hard to maintain. Others have been impossible to maintain realistically. I've done low carb, high carb, low fat, high fat, high protein, low protein. They have all worked somewhat, and simply put they all go back to the same standard: calories in, calories out. Doesn't matter what exercise you do. just burn more than you eat. This seems pretty easy, except... ...
