Well, this is my first time writing in here and it feels a bit odd. However, I am willing to do what it takes to keep myself motivated to keep pushing to lose this weight.
I am 32, a mother of 2, and I have been married for 2 1/2 years. Up until I had my youngest, I was always fit. However, since I had her, I have struggled with my weight. I am not "extremely overweight", however, I am short (5 foot nothin) and just a little bit of added cushion makes me look like a blimp! When I gave birth to my youngest, I had lost all the pregnancy weight within a week. But then, I gained all of it back, plus some! She was having a hard time gaining weight in the beginning while I was nursing her, and while we were tyring to figure out what was going on, I decided to eat more high calorie/fat foods. THAT was a mistake! She didn't get those fats-I DID! We eventually figured out the problem and she began to gain weight. However, by then, it was much too late for me. I was in denial of how much I had gained, until Christmas (6 months after I had my daughter). I got on the scale and I nearly cried. I was at THE LARGEST I had ever been! By the following year, however, I had made many healthier choices, and dropped 30 pounds. Within the next 4 years, I had lost almost everything, and even began going to the gym.
However, when I remarried (to my current husband), I gained it back again! It has been frustrating because I have worked so hard to take it off and keep it off, but yet I can't seem to do it anymore. In the last 2 years, I have only lost 10 pounds. I begin to lose, and even lost 30 pounds last year, but I gained it all back. It is so hard. The majority of my family is obese, some even deal with heart issues and diabetes because of their weight. I don't want these health problems, but now I am having a more difficult time trying to get the weight down and keep it off.
I am hoping that joining this website will keep my on track and motivated to just keep moving and get healthier again.
