Yoga Level 2: Twisting Chair

Calories Burned:  170 calories per hour   (based on a body weight of 150 lbs.)
1. From Mountain pose, bend both legs and squat down, touching fingertips to the floor.
2. Raise both arms and bring palms together overhead. Remain in squat.
3. Bring your arms down and bring palms together at the center of your chest.
4. Twist your torso to the right and swing your arms over to that side with hands still together.
5. Turn your torso so that your chest forms a 90-degree angle with the floor, using your arms against your legs for leverage.
6. Turn your head and face the ceiling.
7. Hold for 5 breaths.
8. Unhook your elbows from your knee, turn your torso to face front and raise your arms overhead with palms together.
9. Straighten your legs and bring palms back to center of chest.
10. Return to Mountain pose and repeat, twisting to the other side.
