Racewalking
Any racewalkers out there? I'm thinking of maybe getting back into racewalking which I did about 15 years ago with a 11:49 to 12min miles. My back has been much better and my ishium also is a little better . I'm going to work at it for 3 weeks and see how I feel. I completed week one and still feel somewhat ok. I'd like to aim for The Duke City Marathron(albquerque) 5k walk. When I did it 15 years ago I placed 3rd for my age group(43) with my best time of 11:49 min mile. I'm hoping for at least 14 min miles.
Only problem is the traveling. I would have to travel anywhere from 80 to 130 miles one way for the races since I live in rural northern NM.
PS:I guess I'll have to quit smoking-great motivation, huh?

Yes, quit smoking!
Hats off to you if you can quit smoking. That has got to be hard to do but I know you can do it. Your heart will love you for that.
