I worked out with a friend this morning, she is very dedicated and in really good shape. We started off with some weights focusing on back. That didn't go too badly, I mean I have no upper body strength, I never have, so I was lifting half the weight she does, but its a start, and I had wobbly arms, so I assume that is a good sign that I wasn't taking it too easy.
Then... this is where the ouch comes in to play... we ran, yes thats right
ran up
4 flights of stairs, around the track at the top then back down... and... and... she expected me to be able to do it
3 times... well I was able to run up 1.5 times... I had to walk the last 1.5. My legs didn't even want to carry me up, it was wibble wobbly jelly legs all the way, (quite a different type of wobble than I've become used to the past year).
I was barely able to stand up in the shower, my legs didn't want to hold me up... but I will see her again at 6:15 tomorrow morning.
Now that I've eaten my breakfast I am feeling much better... so I am thinking, breakfast before work out tomorrow.
No pain no gain... right?
