The Pants....

I finally was able to get my favorite brown pants back on.  It's been over a year since I could put them on.  I gained a lot of weight getting pregnant.  A couple of hours later I bent down to pick up the baby and riiiiiiiip! Straight up the left side of my butt!  My favorite pants ruined.  Times are hard and it's not like I can just go out and buy a new pair so here I go into the World of Fitness.  I once had a gym membership when I was 18 and fresh into college but I only signed up because it was what all the sorority girls were doing and I never actually went so in my mind it doesn't count.  That was ten years ago.  Pre-prego I was a skinny minny which I always attributed to God blessing me with wonderful genes from my parents, but have now come to realize that it was simply the result of too much partying, staying up late, drinking, and general rebellion.  Yes I was tiny, but no I was not truly healthy.  My goal is much the same as many others - eat right, get fit.  Seems simple enough but I've really had a hard time with it.  My boyfriend is a fitness nut and works out 5 or 6 days a week.  I once went with him to the gym and was sore for a full week after.  Needless to say I DO NOT go to the gym with him anymore.  I've tried working out @ home.  I have P90X, a variety of Pilates and aerobics DVDs, free weights, and a gym in my complex.  I think the problem is a combination of laziness, a busy schedule, and initimidation.  However, I'm hoping this website will provide me with the support I need to achieve success!!  :)
