On July first I made a decision to make a major change in my life. I joined http://stbernardswellness.com. I have known for a long time that I needed to get more active.
I'm not exactly sedintary but I don't put any effort into it, either.
My 22 year old daughter, Leah, and I stopped by after work at 0700. After a brief tour by a nice young man named Hayden. As he was showing us the pools, I commented that I sink like and 18 pound kettle bell and I have water wings on my upper arms but I can't float.
We headed home discussing whether or not we wanted to commit. By the time we travelled the 4 miles in morning traffic we decided it would be worth the effort.
After changing, we returned and signed up. I am committed to one year.
We spent an hour and a half trying to get our bearings and do something. I am very proud of my accomplishments on my first day to a better me.
I am not proud of what I have allowed to happen to my body, but I am PROUD that I have chosen to lose the water wings even if I still can't tread water.
Every Little Bit Helps
